Custom Manufactured Fly Lines

Types of Tapers

Level (L): An untapered line that is the same diameter throughout its whole length. It is more difficult to cast than other tapers.

Double Taper (DT): With the same taper on each end, these lines have extra long bellies and can be reversed if one end begins to wear.

Weight Forward (WF): Currently the most popular line design, they are the easiest to cast as most of the mass of the line is concentrated in the front section.

Shooting Head (SH): Used with a small diameter running line, these lines will provide maximum distance without sacrificing accuracy as there is little resistance in the guides.
